So last week, let me tell you about last week. Last week I fell down the stairs to my backyard. It was only two steps but my legs completely flew out from under me and I landed right on my back and hip. It really hurt and I could not get up, it was so completely terrible and painful that I had to call 911 to help me get up and to the hospital. Thankfully, nothing is broken I am just very very sore. Either way, getting better has been quite a process. For the first week, I could not shower or get dressed without help. Sleeping in a bed was out of the question but thankfully I have a recliner which has been my sleeping post for one too many nights. But how does this relate to beauty? I can’t moisturize after a shower because I can’t bend, so I began to search for something to keep my very dry skin in check.

 I looked in my beauty arsenal for a product that would be easier to use than an oil to avoid even a slightly slick shower floor and could be applied without bending. L’Occitane Cleansing & Softening Shower Oil with Almond Oil pretty much saved my super dry skin. Its basically a shower oil that you use like a body wash, it moisturizes just slightly, enough that I don’t notice my dry skin creeping up. But the best part is that the scent which is less almond-y that you would expect and lingers long after your shower. The scent is sweet and deep and is a great subtle scent for summer. Either way, in a week full of surprises and moving slowly, this little shower oil has made showering much easier and way more luxurious.
