Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush $8.99
So what brought me to this was a) a random walk on Christmas Day and b) I wanted a cheaper version of Clinique’s Chubby Stick because well, they seemed to me at least as the same product so I figured why not save a few bucks.
I love the color. On its own, that is without a lip blam/gloss under it, its a super dark oxblood. Very on trend and very winter appropriate with pale skin and dark hair. Its a super great alternative to the red I’ve been wearing recently. I think the color is most akin to a wine, or more specifically when you get wine lips, but obviously more uniform and more glossy.
The balm element of the product, was ok, my lips did not feel super moisturized but they didn’t feel dry either. What I have been doing is layering it under The Lip Slip by Sara Happ, for a more sheer color profile. I like it sheer and I like it darker, its a very versatile lip color. For almost half the price of the Clinique Chubby Stick, you get an pretty good match. Although Clinique now has an intense moisturizing version, which I think, although I have yet to try, would hit the ball out of the park in terms of moisture and color.
