Saving Face

Estee Lauder Day Wear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme Oil-Free Broad Spectrum SPF 25 and Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex

$45.00 and $55.00

Most aspects of getting older are fun. I say that but I am also not that old. But time, stress, poor diet etc., have taken a toll on my skin. I was starting to look say, a few years older than I should. I do have good genetics on my side, but also an inflammatory condition that I think causes my skin to look less than awesome. Enter the search for the fountain of youth, appearance of youth or at least the appearance that I sleep and eat well.

I was searching. I was searching for an SPF day crème and a targeted treatement. I was looking at ingrediants and also to see if the products caused breakouts. After about a month of searching I found two contenders, suggested by Aerin Lauder on her website. Lauder talked about the skincare products she uses on a daily basis and these were two of them.

The products I ended up getting were Estee Lauder Day Wear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme Oil-Free Broad Spectrum SPF 25 and Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex (such long names jeezeeeee). And let me tell you. I had only been using them for a few days, when I saw a very old friend and before I could speak, she was like “you seem so rested, you seem so glowy, you seem so healthy,’ I am friends, none of these things. It was proof that it was the products. Magic in some jars. While this stuff is not cheap, skin cancer is real and so too are a sagging face, neck and wrinkles, all of which cost later, in both money and time under the knife. So I figure its like savings for later. And you know what. An added bonus, my skin is clearer. Seriously. Clearer. More even. Glowy and moisturized. I will never look back until some company makes some seriously safe and non-toxic anti-aging and sunscreen that does not cause breakouts and actually works.

Its so hard to stay green in my routine, while having finicky skin, but I really try to limit my exposure. But here, I think I have to look the other way because the results are amazing, and I use way less makeup now. So there you have it. Little bottles with big promises that actually deliver.
