Suvana Organic Certified Organic Paw Paw & Honey Balm, $14.00
I’ve been mildly aware of Paw Paw as a thing generally and as ingredient a lip balm, what have you for a while. But it never really caught my attention, that was until it became winter, and I moved to a colder locale and my use of lip balm skyrocketed. The popular Lucas Paw Paw that is often referenced on Into the Gloss as a great balm, but it is actually petroleum based, something which the company does not hide, nevertheless it made picking Suvana Paw Paw (which has none) a very easy choice. Petroleum over time just dries out your lips, therefore its a totally pointless ingredient in lip balms.
I was really excited to get my Suvana Paw Paw in the mail, so much so that I was stalking the mailman for about three days. Nevertheless when it came it was practically frozen so I had to thaw it out under the lamp on my desk, this further added to my anticipation of using the balm. After about an hour it was thawed and I went to town.
This stuff is great. I’m a little sick right now so my lips are insanely chapped so much so that I literally keep putting this on. It leaves your lips super soft, has no taste and no scent. It in a larger than usual tube and the yellow is really cheerful that I don’t mind the size. It moisturizes like a dream and laves the nicest shine on your lips. The ingredients are super steller and contain no gross or scary things. I’ve been using, The Lip Slip by Sara Happ when I leave my house because its so thick and so good at staying on your lips, like I said before when commuting I hate pulling out lip balm thats in a pot, or in a tube that you need to use your fingers to apply, so the staying power of a lip balm is something that I find important, but I think that the Suvana Paw Paw has likely replaced the Lip Slip, which is great because the Lip Slip is really not that natural. The only bad thing, is that you have to use your finger to apply it, I wish it came in a tube with an applicator, despite that drawback I doubt I’ll be giving this lip balm up anytime soon.
yum would love to try this!
