I’m generally obsessed with Kate Spade Saturday as a whole, those design your own weekender bags have got my heart racing. But I do love a good fancy pen, especially in bight yellow. Le Pen collaborated with Saturday to create these awesome bight pens, I love Le Pen in general and the fact that while being bright yellow the ink is black makes me even more obsessed.

I think its safe to say that a lot of women (and men too!) have this problem– which is that they carry too much unnecessary shit in their everyday bag. I never think I do this, that is until I travel and I cram everything in my purse into one of my carry-ons. Traipsing through the airport it all becomes abundantly clear, I am a purse hoarder. Over the weekend I traveled a ton, by plane, by car and by train and I got stuck in a flight delay/cancelation 24 hour debacle and with all of the magazines I bought to pass the time my bag weighed a ton. I love beautiful and well designed things, especially when they solve some sort of life problem. In this case its thirst. I am always thirsty and drinking something, especially in the middle of the night, and in the middle of the night I hate waking up to go get a glass of water. I could leave a glass on my bedstand, but I have cats and they might knock it over or even worse take a sip, which is fine I love them but they do lick their own butts, just sayin’. Continue reading
I like to really want things. I like to dream about things I want to acquire. I haven’t always been this way, it use to be all about impulse, but I’ve been trying to save more money so waiting is part of the game, its fun you know to see if you really want something after the passage of time.

Since moving back to NYC, my hair has NOT been happy and what I mean by that is that the humidity, frequent rain and heat has lead to lots and lots of frizz and flat hair. I switched shampoos which normally wakes my hair up, but it did little to make my hair come to life. I thought I maybe needed a haircut (I did) but while that did make my hair look awesome, I was still combating frizz and flat lifeless hair. I knew I needed to bring out the big guns aka I needed to start using some kind of anti-frizz defender of good hair.
For me finding the perfect bag seems like a vision quest. I’m always searching. I’ve learned over the years never to settle on a bag if there is one thing you don’t like about it because honestly chances are you are never ever going to reach for that bag. Continue reading
