What the F is Lip Tar?

I had seen this stuff and written it off as super cheap and not worth my time.

Then, after some happenstance. I changed my tune. All of a sudden I was on Sephora online and OCC’s website trying to pick a color. And then I came across this set. And bam, decision made, I had a coupon for Sephora and free shipping etc. so I think each Lip Tar worked out to be something like 8 bucks a tube. Totally worth it.

When I got the Lip Tar I was, super excited. What was this stuff? Lip Tar, what does that mean?

In this set I really dig all of the colors, though my favorite is the darkest, Vintage which is a deep burgundy. The texture is super smooth and not sticky. When applying you have to put it on super carefully, with a lip brush, otherwise any stray marks are going to stay there, for a while. If this does happen I use a bit of concealer and cover up my mistake. The color aside from being deeply pigmented, it lasts forever! I had the bright pink on and it lasted for 5 hours, through eating and drinking. Totally worth it. The one thing I will say is that, you should really exfoliate your lips prior to using the Lip Tar, you really need a good smooth base for these to work otherwise, the formula can clump up- not so pretty.

Overall, for a set, each color was great and totally worth it. The coverage is fantastic and lasts forever and the colors are super pretty. I’ve actually gotten called out for wearing this stuff, because its so different from what I normally wear. Pretty good for something called Lip Tar.
