I’ve been really loyal for the last year to the same foundation, Vapour Organic Atmosphere Luminous Foundation. It totally broke me of my love for Laura Mercier’s Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer. I love that its organic, safe, and in an easy to use and transport stick and the coverage was great, let my skin breathe and did not cause dreaded breakouts. But, I kept hearing chatter about Jouer Matte Moisture Tint and I was curious. While I never got a sample in my BirchBox, when I accumulated some points through Birchbox I knew it was time to pull the trigger.
I initially got the color Linen based on the descriptions, but it was way too light, I returned it for Nude– which was almost a perfect color match, if only just a little bit on the light side, but I wear bronzer so it worked itself out and the color was great. I’m not so worried about the color change with the impending beach days because I wear SPF 1000 on my face so it never really tans. In case your wondering in Vapour I am color 120 and in Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer I wear the color Nude.
The coverage is a bit more than a tinted moisturizer but not by much, it covers most marks and scars pretty well for a nice even coverage. The texture is so light that I completely forgot I was even wearing makeup, let alone foundation. For this reason alone I love it. The wear was long and I never really got shiny throughout the day– another win. My skin right now is oddly dry and oily– so very combination, where normally it is just oily- which is what drew me to the Matte finish of this foundation in the first place. I am thinking once summer hits this foundation will be perfect. Since the finish on this product is matte be sure to moisturize adequately or it will settle into fine lines and age you in the worst way. I put mine on with a foundation brush and the finish is just amazing and super soft. On my skin it just melts in a looks really natural. Basically, I am super blown away by this product. It really does look that awesome.
