I found out about Dabu a long time ago. Nevertheless, this top coat blows all other top coats out of the water. While I can’t say much on shine (all top coats loose shine within a day), what this one does, that blows all others away, is really keep your polish chip free for days. FOR DAYS! Continue reading

Lipstick Challenge Day 12: Lip Moisturizer
Malin + Goetz Lip Moisturizer $12.00
This stuff by Malin + Goetz is a lip balm, obviously. Its clear, has no taste, no fragrance and is pretty basic right down to its label (which I love). But what gets me about this and gets me to pull this out to show my lip balm enthusiast friends, is the consistency. Folks, wait- its a gel. A gel! Its so cool really, so space age-y. The Perfect Red
The other day I had a thought, a thought which made me pause because I knew it was so important I had to remember. Every time I don’t paint my nails red, I regret it. Totally regret it. Continue reading
Lipstick Challenge Day 11: Cheap Thrills
Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm $7.00 in Rose, Tiger Lily and Hibiscus
I love a good cheap thrill, and these are rather awesome. I hate the original Burt’s Bees lip balm. When people love it, I just know they need to have their eyes open to other greater lip balms that are out there. I think the Burt’s Bees original is overly waxy and for me it leaves white ring around my mouth if I am not careful. So when I picked up these guys, I was hesitant. Continue reading
Magic Oil
Dr. Alkaitis Organic Nourishing Treatment Oil $79.95
You know when you have a blemish, and you try to kill it via popping, squeezing, masks, drying spot treatment etc., and then your left with a whopping dry spot on your face. Flaky and weird and 100% not a surface suitable for concealer. Continue reading
Let’s pretend its 1998
Shea Body Butter, on sale $9.50
For whatever reason, The Body Shop, reminds me of 1998- early suburban malls, Contempo Casuals, United Colors of Benetton- that 1998. Last month I was in Boston to quit smoking with the Mad Russian, and was killing time waiting for my friend to get out of her quit smoking class, when I stumbled upon a brick and mortar Body Shop. I had run out of hand lotion, and it seemed like an opportunity to visit an old friend. Continue reading
Just like science class only sleeker
This water bottle is quite the piece of art. Water=beauty, therefore this is a completely necessary beauty purchase. Amiright? The only issue I’m having is which color, I’m crushing this blush version super hard.
