Apparently, I’m really into anti-aging hair care products right now even though I am 100% not in this product group’s targeted market. I love these products because they make your hair look freakin’ awesome regardless if your hair is in the “aging” category of things. I’ve been using the same hair smoothing serum for my dried hair since 2003. No joke. I’ve gone through about 2-3 bottles of it and keep coming back. So when a sample of this arrived in my Birchbox I didn’t think much of it until I actually tried it on my dried hair. Continue reading

Jouer Matte Moisture Tint
I’ve been really loyal for the last year to the same foundation, Vapour Organic Atmosphere Luminous Foundation. It totally broke me of my love for Laura Mercier’s Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer. I love that its organic, safe, and in an easy to use and transport stick and the coverage was great, let my skin breathe and did not cause dreaded breakouts. But, I kept hearing chatter about Jouer Matte Moisture Tint and I was curious. While I never got a sample in my BirchBox, when I accumulated some points through Birchbox I knew it was time to pull the trigger.
Caudalie Divine Oil
I’ve posted about a few speciality oils before, I’ve also mentioned how I think most of them are bullshit and that regular old jojoba oil is where its at. But this particular oil by Caudalie changed my mind about that. Continue reading
Birchbox Week
I love, LOVE Birchbox. Each month I get a lovely little package and am usually blown away. I love not knowing what little beauty surprises will be inside and also I love the little brown boxes, they have so many uses and they can be seen all over my house organizing all sorts of things. Each month I eagerly await its arrival and each month at least one product really stands out. But this past month, almost every product blew me away that I almost immediately purchased them in full size– something I’ve never really done before. This week I’ll be reviewing and sharing all of the products that blew me away in Aprils Box. Get ready, get set and lets go!
A Sea of Lies
Every spring magazines seems to scream “Sea Salt Spray!”—claiming this time this bottle of sea salt will magically transform your hair into effortless “beachy waves” a/k/a “I don’t care hair,” or even “French girl hair.” And I fall for it every single time. I have four half empty bottles of the stuff sitting in various drawers in my apartment. I stopped my search when I haphazardly found Pantene Expert AgeDefy Advanced Thickening Treatment. I was not looking for the perfect undone hair when I picked this up, what I was looking for was a product to thicken my hair and give it a boost, but after some warmer temperatures toward the end of winter I found that when I air dry and spray this all over my head something totally unexpected happens. But first, sea salt sprays and why instead of good hair days they are simply full of it. Continue reading
Sunday AM Round UP
All week I had been seeing links and mentions of this Dove video. I ignored it as mass market propaganda. But today, it was an intro commercial to this other video. I ended up watching the whole thing. Its pretty amazing and totally worth the three minutes it takes to watch. Continue reading
Saturday Styles: Etsy Stationary Picks
Earlier this week I talked about my second love behind beauty products, which is stationary. These are my top stationary picks rounded up from Etsy. Enjoy! Continue reading
Drugstore Dupe: YSL Lip Stain on the Cheap
I’ve been having mega allergies for the last week, plus a cold on top of the congestion. Its not been the best time at the One Product condo. Either way I had to pick up some tissues at CVS, obviously while I was there I wandered off into makeup territory to see if this lip product I had causally seen an ad for was in stock. It was and I die, its amazing. Continue reading
Subscription Box Addiction
Subscription boxes are a blessing for a person like me who absolutely loves, LOVES getting mail. This love affair started at sleep away camp when my lovely mom would send me the best care packages. Currently, I get two (maybe three) beauty boxes a month. I love trying new products but sometimes it can be overwhelming, getting so many new products all at once, so I decided to think outside the box and add another one to the mix totally devoted to something not beauty. Enter the subscription box by Haute Papier. Continue reading
