Facial moisturizer is so important because it hydrates (duh!) and makes you look younger almost instantly. I’ve be faithfully using this one by Malin + Goetz for the last six months and as I near the end of the bottle I’m searching for something a little bit less expensive so you know I can spend my money on other things like lip balm and cabs.

Face Washing Equipment: The Low Down
In 2007, I was introduced to the Clarisonic by my aesthetician, who at the time despite trying super hard and being one of the best in the city could not clear my skin, suggested I try this device. I used it pretty faithfully for about a year, with really no life changing results. Continue reading
Subscription Box Addiction: Part Two
I love subscription boxes, this is no surprise as I’ve mentioned them a few times on the blog here and here. One of the boxes I get is by Ipsy its very makeup heavy and light on the skincare. You can customize what you get by answering a survey. Continue reading
Origins VitaZing™ SPF 15 Energy-boosting moisturizer
I don’t even know how this product crossed my path. No idea. I was on Sephora.com and it just appeared. I started reading review after review and I kept thinking is this shit as good as some people say? Or super orange like other reviews? I just had to know. I could not stop thinking about it. So the other day I found myself in Origins. Continue reading
Garnier Olia Oil Powered Permanent Haircolor
When I first saw commercials for Garnier’s new ‘OIL POWERED’ hair dye I was very intrigued. Hair dye is something I have become very acquainted with over the last six years. Many women under 30 still enjoy the opportunity to dye their hair for fun, a little highlight in the summer, going dark for fall, etc… For me it is straight up maintenance. To dye or to look like I’m pushing 50, that’s the situation. Continue reading
StriVectin-SD™ Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles
In the under eye department, normally there is not too much to talk about. I usually reach for eye creams for an added moisture boost–thats it. Normally, my eyes don’t need special attention. But honestly when I’m enjoying life (staying out late) or working hard (staying up late) it takes a toll on my eyes. I look very tired and people ask me if I’m ok or if I’ve been crying– you know those nice comments of concern that all convey that you look like shit. Basically, you can tell when I’ve been behaving badly or when I have been churning out work by looking at my eyes. Some eye creams over the years work wonders -for a short time- eventually, most fall flat in their claims, but sometimes, sometimes you come across others that actually work. Continue reading
Caudalie Divine Oil
I’ve posted about a few speciality oils before, I’ve also mentioned how I think most of them are bullshit and that regular old jojoba oil is where its at. But this particular oil by Caudalie changed my mind about that. Continue reading
Birchbox Week
I love, LOVE Birchbox. Each month I get a lovely little package and am usually blown away. I love not knowing what little beauty surprises will be inside and also I love the little brown boxes, they have so many uses and they can be seen all over my house organizing all sorts of things. Each month I eagerly await its arrival and each month at least one product really stands out. But this past month, almost every product blew me away that I almost immediately purchased them in full size– something I’ve never really done before. This week I’ll be reviewing and sharing all of the products that blew me away in Aprils Box. Get ready, get set and lets go!
Fat & The Moon
What prompts me to pick up random, untested, unreviewed beauty products from Etsy always comes down to cool packaging. Fat & The Moon is one of those companies, their logo and design really caught my eye and I knew I just had to try some of their products.
